The Birth of Revive MD
Since establishing his practice at Prima-CARE Medical Center in 2010, Dr. Lakshman has treated a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders, including:
- Diabetes
- Thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer
- Adrenal and pituitary pathology
- Hormone replacement therapy and sexual health
However, his deep passion for hormone wellness—serving men, women, and transgender individuals—led him to establish Revive MD, a highly specialized clinic dedicated to hormone replacement, sexual wellness, and aesthetics. His mission is to help patients restore vitality, enhance confidence, and improve quality of life through personalized, science-backed treatment plans.
The Revive MD Philosophy
Dr. Lakshman’s philosophy is simple: Aging is inevitable, but feeling old is optional. Rather than passively adjusting to age-related changes, he believes in proactively optimizing health at every stage of life so patients can perform at their best—physically, mentally, and emotionally. He takes a personalized approach, discussing individual goals with each patient and exploring how hormone therapy can help them achieve their ideal state of well-being.
“I want people to feel amazing, inside and out—because longevity isn’t just about living longer, it’s about thriving.”
While testosterone therapy is widely accepted for men, it remains misunderstood and stigmatized for women. Dr. Lakshman believes that sexual health is a couples' concept, and hormonal balance should be equally accessible to both men and women. By challenging misconceptions and advocating for evidence-based care, he encourages women to explore therapies that enhance vitality, restore balance, and improve overall well-being—just as men have for years.
Despite growing awareness, transgender individuals still face discrimination and a lack of access to gender-affirming medical care. Dr. Lakshman recognizes this need and is dedicated to providing expert, supportive hormone therapy in an inclusive, judgment-free environment.
Beyond Medicine: Getting to Know Dr. Lakshman
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lakshman is passionate about fitness, mindfulness, and clean eating—practices that help him maintain a balanced and energized life. Whether he’s engaging in an intense workout, cooking a fun yet nutritious meal for his family, or unwinding with music and singing, he believes that movement, nourishment, and creative expression are key to overall well-being.
Living in the beautiful state of Rhode Island provides the perfect backdrop for his love of nature and water, which he enjoys with his wife and three children. From kayaking along the coastline to family walks through the woods or simply relaxing by the water, he values these moments as a way to stay grounded and connected.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Lakshman is deeply engaged in community service and mentorship, actively volunteering in his children’s schools and leading educational initiatives that promote health and well-being in young individuals. He is particularly passionate about guiding young boys through conversations on body development and self-care during puberty.
Dr. Lakshman believes true vitality comes from nourishing not only the body but also the mind and soul. His philosophy is simple: Aging should be embraced, not endured. He sees wellness as a lifelong journey rather than a destination and strives to lead by example—both for his family and his patients. This holistic approach allows him to connect with patients on a deeper, more personal level, helping them feel seen, heard, and empowered in their own journeys toward optimal health.
